About my approach

As a therapist, I tend to focus on how your experiences, relationships, and life up to this point have shaped how you operate. Sometimes we'll talk about things from the past. Sometimes we'll deal with what's coming up that week. What matters is how the two connect—how what you've been through is showing up in your day-to-day now, where it starts to break down, and how to use those same patterns in a way that actually works better for you moving forward.

Through our sessions, we make sense of what's going on and decide what to do with it. It's important to me that this is a space where you can be honest without feeling judged—shame doesn't run the room. And just so you know what you're walking into: there will probably be some tears, but there's also usually a good amount of laughter along the way.

What therapy looks like

The first sessions are mostly information gathering and getting to know each other. We build an overall understanding of how you got here, what led you to start therapy, and what's happening now. We're not doing your whole life story on day one, but we're also not pretending this came out of nowhere.

Sessions are active and collaborative. We talk things through, slow things down, identify patterns, and decide on practical next steps. There may be tears, but there will also be laughter.

What clients can expect

Sessions are active and collaborative. We talk things through, slow things down, identify patterns, and decide on practical next steps. There may be tears, but there will also be laughter.

I take confidentiality seriously. This is a space where you can be honest about what's really going on without judgment. We work at your pace, and nothing is off-limits if it's relevant to your healing and growth.

You don't need to have it all figured out. You don't need to be in crisis. If something's been nagging at you or you just want to understand yourself better, that's enough to start.
